Message from Our CEO
Greetings, YMWIC Supporters:
The YMWIC 2024-2025 Program Year is off to a strong start! We have held recruitment events at schools in all 10 of our partner school districts and have met and enrolled many enthusiastic new Scholars. Our Project Coordinators are reaching out to our enrolled families to ensure they are geared up and ready to work hard for a successful new Program Year.
National Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from September 15 through October 15 each year. We salute and support our Scholars, their families and cultures and recognize their many contributions to American society.
In addition to our recurring annual events and activities, we will be launching the YMWIC Pre-Apprenticeship Program, expanding our Mentorship activities, and offering a certification program—the Grow Academy, in partnership with PECO—which will give some of our Scholars a head start on their career paths.
We will also offer more opportunities for the parents and guardians of our Scholars by providing them with even more informative and interactive workshops, along with additional ways to get involved in their chapters in support of the Scholars.
We invite you to join us as a Corporate, University, Community Partner, Sponsor, Volunteer, or Donor for this Program Year. The success and growth of our Program depend on, and are enriched by, your support and involvement. To join the YMWIC team, please select our information link, volunteer link, or contact me directly.
