Message from Our CEO
Greetings, YMWIC Supporters:
At YMWIC, we continually provide opportunities for learning, even during summer vacation. This year, we are serving roughly 200 elementary, middle, and high school students in Philadelphia and surrounding school districts.
These programs offer unique, age-appropriate learning opportunities, hands-on experiments, fun projects, field trips, college tours, social activities, math, science, robotics, and ELA (English Language Arts) lessons, and so much more. They also offer campers the opportunity to enhance social skills and enjoy shared experiences with new friends.
YMWIC’s future goal is to serve even greater numbers of students in partner school districts during our Summer Programs. We also encourage those Summer students and parents who are not already members of our After-School Programming to join us and participate in an exciting, adventure-filled 2024-2025 Program Year! We are forecasting growth by expanding our reach to serve Scholars in more communities. Planning is underway for the first annual event of the Program Year, the YMWIC 19th Annual College & Career Expo.
We invite you to be part of our team; your contributions make our programming and events possible. We rely on your generosity and support so we can continue providing opportunities for our Scholars, whether in STEM fields, other professions, or in the workforce. Can I encourage you to make the call? I would love to welcome you as a valued YMWIC volunteer, donor, or advocate!
