On Monday, August 29, 2022, the YMWIC 9th Annual Scholarship and STEM Golf Classic took place at the fabulous Penn Oaks Golf Club. The Scramble Golf Tournament and Fundraiser that took place supports our Scholarship Program.
YMWIC hosted our 17th Annual College and Career Expo on Saturday, November 12, 2022, from 9:00AM to 2:15PM.
YMWIC participated in GivingTuesday on November 29, 2022. GivingTuesday is a global generosity day that encourages people to do good.
Registration has begun for our 2022-2023 Program year for rising 3rd – 12th grade students.
On March 4, 2023, YMWIC hosted our 12th Annual Science Expo. Beginning in September of 2022, YMWIC Scholars have selected a science project topic and are using the scientific method to execute their projects.
The 2023 YMWIC 13th Annual Scholarship and Awards Banquet took place on Thursday, May 25, 2003. It was a celebratory event at which we honored our Scholars, Industry Executives and Community Champions.
The YMWIC 2023 Elementary School STEAM & Language Arts Camps was an exciting, educational, and fun-filled six-week experience for rising 1st through 8th grade junior Scholars, who enjoyed great experiences exploring new concepts in math, chemistry, biology, computer science, robotics, language arts, reading, art, and much more!!
Young Men and Women In Charge Foundation, Inc. hosted our 2023 YMWIC Upward Bound Summer Program for 8th through 11th grade students who meet Upward Bound requirements and attend schools that are part of the Upper Darby and Coatesville School Districts. This six-week experience enriched and exposed, and prepared Scholars for college; while providing insight into future employment opportunities. YMWIC Partners and Supporters joined YMWIC on August 21, 2023, at the fabulous Penn Oaks Golf Club, in a Scramble Golf Tournament and Fundraiser to support our Scholarship Program. YMWIC hosted our 18th Annual College and Career Expo at B. Reed Henderson High School on November 11, 2023. College and Corporate representatives provided Scholars and Parents with valuable information on topics including College Readiness and Admissions Qualifications, the College Application Process, FAFSA Form Process, Financial Literacy, STEM Careers, Personal Branding, Interviewing Skills, and much, much more!
A panel of YMWIC Alumni addressed Scholars and their families and answered questions about their lives after graduating from high school and YMWIC. The afternoon Expo featured over 30 of YMWIC College/University and Corporate Partners on display and eager to speak one-on-one with Scholars about opportunities for their future.
GivingTuesday, on November 28, 2023, is a global generosity movement, unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world. GivingTuesday emphasizes opportunities to give back to communities and causes in ways that allow for social connection and kindness.
On Saturday, February 24, 2024, YMWIC will host the YMWIC 13th Annual Science Expo and Scholar Presentations on the campus of West Chester University of Pennsylvania. Beginning in September, YMWIC Scholars will select a challenging grade-appropriate Science Project and utilize the Scientific Method to execute their Projects.
